Certification of Body Armor

The National Institute of Justice has a rating system for body armor (NIJ Standard 0101.03, 0101.04 and the interim 0101.05). As you add layers of a ballistic fiber, such as DuPont Kevlar®, you add protection.

Vests are tested not just for stopping penetration, but also for blunt trauma protection – the blow suffered by the body from the bullet's impact on the vest. Blunt trauma is measured by the dent suffered by a soft clay backstop to the vest – a maximum of 1.7" (44 mm) is allowed.

Streetwise received numerous requests to include a flashlight to their already popular Small Fry Mini Stun Guns. In response they developed Small Fry Stun Guns with built in LED flashlights to provide strong and convenient lighting when needed for added protection.

Our very new Streetwise Blackout Fry Stun Gun fires 400,000 volts out of a unit so small that it can be held in the palm of the hand or hidden in a pack of cigarettes. In the past, because stun guns were powered by 9-volt batteries, the higher the voltage the larger the stun gun had to be. Streetwise rechargeable Stun Guns do not need batteries so they can build very small but very powerful stun guns that are easy to conceal and convenient to carry.

They are tiny in size but have big stopping power! Touch an attacker with the Streetwise Blackout Small Fry Stun Gun and he will be brought down by loss of balance, muscle control, confusion and orientation caused by message disruption to the brain. Your attacker is not going to bother you now. It takes about five to ten minutes for full recovery and there is no permanent damage. This gives you plenty of time to get away and call 911 for help.

The Streetwise Blackout Small Fry Stun Gun has a safety switch to prevent accidental discharge. The unit will not fire unless the safety switch is in the “on” position. A red light will shine above the safety switch to warn you that the stun gun is ready to fire.
